U Bounce Hire – Terms & Conditions
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before booking. By placing a booking with U Bounce Hire, you agree to abide by all terms set out below.
Deposits and Payments
An upfront non-refundable booking fee is required to secure all bookings.
Deposit amounts:
£50 for larger inflatables (e.g. Ninja Assault Course, Giant Slide)
£30 for the Soft Play Park
£25 for all other inflatables and machines
The remaining balance must be paid the day before or before setup on the day.
Failure to pay on time will result in a £20 per day late fee.
In the event of cancellation, the booking fee is valid for 12 months for rescheduling.
If full payment was made and the booking is cancelled, a refund will be issued minus the booking fee.
If the booking is cancelled by the customer a second time, the booking fee is forfeited.
Weather Policy
Outdoor bookings are weather dependent for safety, insurance, and equipment protection.
Bookings may be cancelled if there is wind, rain, storms, poor ground conditions, or extreme heat.
We will assist in finding an indoor venue or rearranging where possible.
If cancellation is necessary, your booking fee remains valid for 12 months.
Arrival, Setup, and Collection Times
We will arrive approximately 30 minutes before the agreed start time to allow for setup of a single item. Where multiple items are booked, an additional 15 minutes per item is required.
Collection and takedown are included within the agreed hire time. We require 30 minutes for a single item, and up to 1 hour where multiple items are booked, to safely complete takedown and collection.
Travel time between locations must also be factored in. We use Google Maps to plan routes and timings, but delays (e.g. traffic or access issues) may affect exact arrival and collection times.
Customers must ensure setup areas are accessible at the agreed times and that no restrictions prevent setup or takedown within the required timeframe.
Where the booking is at a hired venue, the customer must provide venue opening/closing times and access rules in advance.
If access is restricted, delayed, or otherwise prevented (e.g. locked gates, no vehicle access, unsafe ground conditions), this may shorten the hire period and does not entitle the customer to a refund.
Hire Agreements (Machines)
Candyfloss, popcorn, slush, and hotdog machines require a signed hire agreement.
A £10 deposit is required for these bookings.
Hire agreement form.
Insurance and Safety
Public liability insurance certificate available on request.
Equipment must only be used under adult supervision at all times.
No food, drink, shoes, pets, face paint, confetti, silly string, or sharp objects are allowed on inflatables.
Customers must ensure all safety rules provided are followed.

The hirer is responsible for ensuring equipment is returned in a clean condition.
Cleaning fees will apply if equipment is returned in a dirty state (e.g. mud, food, paint, glitter).
Damage caused by misuse or neglect will be charged at full repair or replacement cost.

We reserve the right to cancel or refuse service without refund in such cases.

Why Bouncy Castles Cannot Be Used in Wet or Dangerous Weather
For health, safety, and insurance reasons, bouncy castles must not be used in wet, stormy, or extreme weather conditions. Here's why:
1. Slippery Surfaces Are a Serious Risk
When the inflatable gets wet, especially on the jumping area, it becomes extremely slippery. This significantly increases the risk of falls, injuries, and collisions between users. Water can also pool inside the inflatable, making it unstable and unsafe to use.
2. Electrical Hazards
Bouncy castles rely on blowers and extension cables to stay inflated. In rainy weather or thunderstorms, there’s a very real risk of electrical faults, short circuits, or electric shock, especially if connections become damp. This puts both users and operators in danger.
3. Wind and Storms Can Uplift Inflatables
High winds or sudden gusts can lift even the heaviest bouncy castles off the groundWhy Bouncy Castles Cannot Be Used in Wet or Dangerous Weather

🌪️ 3. Wind and Storms Can Uplift Inflatables
High winds or sudden gusts can lift even the heaviest bouncy castles off the ground. This has caused serious accidents across the UK. Our equipment follows strict PIPA and HSE safety guidelines, which state that inflatables must not be used in winds above 24mph (38km/h) or in any storm conditions.
🛡️ 4. Insurance Will Not Cover Unsafe Use
Our public liability insurance only covers safe, controlled use of our inflatables. If a bouncy castle is used in unsafe weather, insurance is void, and we cannot be held responsible for any accidents or damage. It also breaches our hire agreement and terms of use.
⛔ 5. Ground Conditions Matter
Even if the rain stops, soft or waterlogged ground can cause stakes and anchor points to loosen, making the inflatable unstable and unsafe. We must always ensure the inflatable is fully secured and on suitable ground before use. This has caused serious accidents across the UK.
